The Deployment in the Southern Highlands facilitated the seamless removal and installation of 2 1 in 18.5 turnouts using specialized panel removal methodologies; by using this methodology the turnout could be removed with minimal disturbance of on track tasks and without the need of extra cutting and welding of the track. In this area, the use of cranes was unable to be used because of the terrain and the complexity of where the turnout is positioned, the TRACS, Panel lifter with XO Beams and regular Panel lifters were used in this instance

This operation was completed without injuries or safety breaches, significantly reducing manual labour. The pre-assembly of new track panels at the access point allowed for rapid and efficient delivery and installation despite the challenging terrain. The panels were able to be installed in situ with surveyors to ensure crucial points i.e. Switch tips and crossing nose, were as per design
